The oldest tobacconist in Lisbon known, Casa Havaneza, is located in the Chiado area and dates back to 1855, though there is no definite date when it was established. A name was attached to the house only in 1864, that of Henry Burnay.
A true Portuguese and Lisbon landmark, this store will forever be part of the city's history. Several artists and politicians have passed through here, as well as all kinds of tobacco lovers, giving Casa Havaneza an eternal memory in the words of many writers.
