The boat/ferry, known as cacilheiro, is more than a means of public transport. Feel like a Portuguese navigator discovering the south bank with your family. Board from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas, sit near a window and see the river, where dolphins once jumped. Observe Lisbon moving away and Almada getting nearer, Ponte 25 de Abril and the Tagus estuary.
Arriving on the south bank, within a short walking distance, visit Farol de Cacilhas, a boat guide on the Tagus, and Fragata Dom Fernando II e Glória, the last sailing warship of the Portuguese Navy. Get new perspectives on Lisbon at Jardim do Rio or at the Panoramic Elevator in Boca do Vento. Nearby, visit the Naval Museum.
