Located in Serra de Monsanto, Monsanto Park is around 1000 hectares of forest, comprising seven parishes in Lisbon. Considered "Lisbon Lung", it is the largest Portuguese forest park and one of the largest in Europe. Due to its characteristics, it offers excellent recreational potential. It is a spectacular place from a scenic point of view, offering several viewpoints with sweeping views over the city and the Tagus River.
The Park includes several public facilities, from picnic places and recreational spaces to camping sites. In Alto da Serafina's children's playground, there is an ideal place to play. The Zen architecture project of the White Forest deserves your attention. Explore a 360º panoramic view from Monsanto. If you are an active person and prefer to play sports, use the numerous parks and multi-sports fields. You can also have picnics in the various green spaces.
Enjoy the green corridor of Monsanto, which links the forest park to Parque Eduardo VII in Lisbon, in a network of trails approximately 40 km.
