Fundação Vieira da Silva

Museum

Located in Praça das Amoreiras, in Lisbon, the Arpad Azenes & Vieira da Silva Foundation is a public utility institution and dedicated to the dissemination and studies of these plastic artists, as well as their contemporaries, intellectuals and friends. The project involved several institutions, namely the City Council of Lisbon and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, for our present enjoyment and knowledge, through a Study and Research Centre dedicated to their artwork and a museum, adapted in the space of the former Fabric and Silk Factory. The Foundation aims to understand the personal artistic path of both artists and those relevant to it.

The museum, with a demanding collection, highlights the two plastic artists. It presents temporary exhibitions by other artists through an innovative program. The general price is €5/pax. Open Wednesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm.

The reading library supports access to research and dissemination open to the university public and researchers with a background in artists and artistic movements. Open Tuesday to Friday, from 10 am to 5 pm.
