Museu de Arte, Arquitectura e Tecnologia

The MAAT is the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology and it is one of the most intriguing and exciting cultural institutions in Lisbon.

Designed by the British architect Amanda Levete, it has nearly 3000 square meters of exhibition space and often hosts a great range of art events. Its minimalist sweeping lines and shell-like facade make it stand out from other buildings along the waterfront.

The museum is unique in the world, as there is no other institution that brings together technology, art and architecture. Many of the exhibitions weave these areas together in interesting ways, which makes for thought-provoking programming.

When you visit the museum you can stop for a bite to eat at the restaurant, which overlooks the 25 de Abril Bridge.
